Nilam Mobile

Nilam Mobile is over here on Ajwa Road, specifically at number 24 on 3rd Main in Srinagar Banashankari 1st Stage. It’s a long address for a small shop. We’ve got a lot of phones and covers crammed into the display cases. Sometimes it feels like there isn’t enough room for everything we have. The 3rd Main gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We have a lot of regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question about their phone settings. The shop has a bit of a squeaky door that we keep meaning to oil but always forget. Inside, it smells a bit like electronics and old paper. We have a small television in the corner that we keep on the news, mostly with the sound turned down. The shelves are made of wood and they’re starting to sag a little under the weight of all the boxes. We spend our days sitting on these tall stools that aren't very comfortable after a few hours. It’s just us here, Nilam and the rest of the staff. We don't have any big corporate plans, we just want to get through the day and help the people on Ajwa Road. The street light right outside our window blinks sometimes, making the whole shop feel like it’s in a movie. It's just a normal shop at number 24 on the corner.
