New World

New World is located on the third floor of the Seven Seas Mall, which is over in the Karve Nagar area near Hingne Budrukh and Fatehgunj. Being on the top floor means we don't get the random walkers as much as the ground floor does, so the people who come to see us are usually looking for us specifically. The mall can get really loud on weekends with all the music and kids running around, but inside our space, it’s a bit calmer. We have a lot of shelves and a few display cases that we try to keep organized, though things tend to get moved around by the end of the day. The air conditioning in the mall is sometimes a bit too cold, so we usually keep a sweater behind the counter. We aren't a huge corporation; we are just a small team running this one spot. We spend a lot of our time checking the inventory and making sure everything is priced correctly. It's a lot of standing on your feet, which can be tiring, but it's part of the job. We like the vibe of Fatehgunj and being in the mall gives us a chance to see a lot of different people every day. We don't have any big slogans or flashy ads. We just keep the lights on and wait for customers to come in and see what we've got. It keeps us busy enough.
