I run my classes from house 535 in Sharadnanagar Society. It’s located on Tarsali Road in Vadodara. This isn't a big center with a name on a billboard. It’s just me, Neerja Shukla, teaching from my home. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. The room I use is just a part of the house that I’ve dedicated to students. It has a few desks and a lot of books piled up. Tarsali Road is a good area, and the society is usually quite peaceful. Sometimes my neighbors pop in to say hello. It’s a very personal way of doing things. I don't have any formal enrollment forms or a secretary. Parents usually just call me or stop by the gate to talk about their children. We sit down, figure out a schedule, and get to work. It’s not a polished business. There are marks on the walls and the furniture is a bit mismatched. But the students don't seem to mind. They come here to learn, and that’s what we do. I think being in a home makes it less stressful for everyone. You won't find any corporate mission statements here. Just a teacher and some students sitting around a table. It’s a simple, honest setup. If you are looking for house 535, it’s easy to spot once you enter Sharadnanagar Society. Just look for the place where the kids are heading in the afternoons.
