Om Arts

Our shop, Om Arts, is on the ground floor of house number 52 in the Sanjay Park Society. It is right on the Karelibaug Main Road, so it is quite easy to spot when you are driving past. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The society is usually quiet except for the main road traffic. We do a lot of different art things here. Some days are spent painting and other days we are just organizing the supplies. The floor gets messy with paint spots and dust, but that is just how it goes when you are working with your hands. We have a few shelves that are always overflowing with materials. My brother usually handles the customers while I stay in the back doing the actual work. It is a small space but it works for us. The tea stall next door is where we get our morning chai, and that is a nice routine to have. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of the stuff we make just sits on the table until someone comes to pick it up. In the rainy season, we have to keep the door shut tight so the moisture does not ruin anything. It is a simple life and we enjoy the work we do. People from the neighborhood often stop by just to say hello or see what we are currently making for the neighbors.
