Narmada Art Gallery

Our gallery is tucked away on Shaheed Bhagat Street in the Santkawnar Colony area. It is not the kind of place you would find in a big mall or a busy shopping district. We just have this one space where we keep the art and the frames. Most days are pretty quiet around here and I spend a lot of my time just cleaning the glass on the frames or moving things around. Dust is a big problem because the street outside is always busy with people and cars. I have a cloth in my hand almost all day long. We do not have any big openings or fancy parties like you might see in movies. It is just a shop where art sits on the walls until someone decides they want it for their house. The lighting inside is okay but it could be better I suppose. We have some old wooden floorboards that make a lot of noise when you walk over them. People sometimes come in just to escape the sun for a minute and look around. We do not mind that at all. It is nice to have some company. We handle the framing ourselves in the back room which is a bit cramped and messy with wood scraps and tape. It is a small business and we just take things one day at a time.
