Ascot Pharmachem Pvt. Ltd. is based out of the G.I.D.C. Industrial Estate at No. 98/7. It’s a big industrial area, so it’s not exactly a quiet place to work. You’ve got the sound of machinery and trucks all day long. Our building is a solid, practical structure designed for work, not for looking pretty. We have a lot of space for our materials and the machines we use. The floors are concrete and there’s always a bit of dust, no matter how much we sweep. It’s the kind of place where you wear sturdy shoes and don't worry about getting your clothes a little dirty. We have a small office area tucked away from the main noise where we handle the billing and the phone calls. Most of us have been here for years, so we’ve seen the estate change quite a bit. We don't spend time on mission statements or corporate retreats. Our focus is just on getting the orders out on time and making sure nothing breaks down. Lunch is usually a quick affair in the break room or sometimes we go out to one of the small dhabas nearby. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done every day without asking for any special treatment or attention. It is just how life works in this part of the estate area.
