Morish Garments & Mobiles

Morish Garments & Mobiles is located in Vadodara. It’s an interesting mix because we sell clothes and phones in the same space. One side of the shop has racks with shirts and trousers, and the other side has a glass counter for mobiles. It happened because my brother and I decided to share the rent and combine our businesses. It works out okay. People come in to look at a phone and end up buying a shirt, or vice versa. The shop is always a bit crowded with all the inventory. We have mirrors on the walls for the clothes and bright lights for the electronics. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than four people are inside at once. We get a lot of families coming in. The kids look at the phones while the parents check out the garments. We don’t have a big staff, just the two of us and sometimes a helper. It can get chaotic during the festival seasons when everyone wants something new. The floor is usually covered in plastic bags or bits of thread, but we sweep up when we can. It’s a loud, busy place and there’s always something happening. Vadodara is a good city for this kind of shop. We have been doing this for a few years now and the routine stays the same every day. We just keep moving through the work as it comes in and hope the next day is just as steady.
