Bhavika M Darji

I am Bhavika M Darji. My place is over at B1 84 in Pradhuli Society. This is on Waghodia Road, near the VIP Road junction. It’s also quite close to the Bapaod Jakat Naka. It is a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main market. I set up my workspace here because it’s close to home. I don't have a big storefront. It’s just a section of the house that I’ve dedicated to my work. I have my sewing machine and all my threads and fabrics stored in cupboards. The light from the window is good in the mornings. I spend a lot of time there. Neighbors often drop by to drop off things or just to chat for a few minutes. I don't mind the company. I’ve lived in Pradhuli Society for a long time now. Everyone knows everyone else. I handle all the work myself. I take measurements and do the cutting and the stitching. It takes time, but I don't like to rush things. If a job isn't done right, I do it over. I don't have a big sign outside. Usually, people just know which house is mine. I keep a ledger where I write down all the orders by hand. It’s a bit old-fashioned but it works for me. Waghodia Road has grown a lot, but our little corner stays pretty much the same.
