Modern Plastics

Modern Plastics is based out of Vaghodia at unit 920 in the GIDC area. It is a pretty large industrial zone and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know the plot numbers. Our building is a simple shed where we have our plastic molding machines set up. They make a rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a while. The walls are a bit stained from years of work and the floor is concrete. We spend our hours watching the machines and making sure the plastic is melting correctly. It gets very humid inside during the rainy season, but we just open the big side doors to let the air in. Vaghodia is a bit of a drive for some of us, but it is where all the industry is located. We have a small area where we keep the finished products stacked on pallets. There is always a lot of dust flying around because of the trucks driving on the unpaved parts of the estate. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby, you just walk in and find us working on the floor. Most of our day is spent handling raw materials and checking the quality of what comes out of the machines. It is a straightforward job and we have been at plot 920 for several years now. We just stay focused on the tasks we have.
