Mirang Parikh

My office is actually just a part of my home here in Anand Nagar Society, specifically at number 33. It’s right by Tikona Park in the Model Town Extension area of Vadodara. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood, which I really appreciate because it helps me focus on the daily tasks. I’ve lived around here for quite some time, and I like that I can just walk over to the park if I need a bit of fresh air during a long afternoon. The house is pretty easy to find once you get into the society. I use the front room for all my work stuff. It’s got my desk, a few bookshelves that are starting to overflow, and a couple of chairs for when people need to sit down and go over things. It’s not a corporate environment at all. Usually, you can hear the neighbors’ kids playing outside or the sounds of people going about their day. I start early, usually with a cup of tea, and just work through whatever is on my list. Sometimes it’s a lot of phone calls, other times it’s just me typing away for hours. People from the society often stop by just to say hello or drop something off. It’s a very local way of doing business, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It feels more personal than being in a big glass office downtown. I just do my work and live my life here.
