Mar Gregorios Memorial School

Over here on New Sama Road, things have changed a lot lately with all the new buildings going up. But Mar Gregorios has been sitting here in Sama for a good while. It’s a Vadodara school through and through. The building has that classic look, and we’ve got a decent amount of space for the kids to move around. It’s not always quiet, especially when the primary classes are out for their break, but that’s just part of the atmosphere. We have a lot of teachers who have been part of the family for a long time. They know the siblings of the kids they’re teaching now. It makes the place feel smaller than it actually is. We don't have a lot of those high-tech gadgets you see on TV, but we have enough to get the lessons done properly. The office is always a bit cluttered with forms and old registers, and there’s usually a parent or two waiting to speak with someone. We just try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the rain floods the front area a little bit, so we have to put out some planks, but we manage. It’s a real place with real problems and real people working hard. We just want the kids to finish their studies and move on to the next thing in their lives. That’s our main goal every single day.
