We’ve been running Mangalam Cards out of S B 6 in the Parshwa Complex for a good while now. It’s right near the Dadu Majra Barrier in Raopura, which most people around here know well. Our shop is mostly filled with stacks of invitation cards for all sorts of occasions. When you walk in, you’ll probably notice the smell of fresh paper and ink right away. It’s not a very big space, so things can get a bit crowded, especially when families come in together to pick out wedding designs. We have these large sample books that we lay out on the counter. People spend hours flipping through them, trying to decide between different shades of cream or red. My cousin and I handle everything ourselves. We don't have a fancy computer system; we just write everything down in a big ledger. Sometimes the printers in the back make a lot of noise, but we’re used to it. The Raopura area is always busy, so there’s constant noise from the street coming through the door. We don't have any big signs or advertisements. Most people just find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. We try to keep the shelves organized, but with so many different envelopes and cards, it’s a constant battle. We stay open until late in the evening most days. It’s just a simple, local business where we focus on getting the printing right.
