We are located at 29-A in the Mira Society, which is a fairly calm part of Diwalipura here in Baroda. Our work is mostly about heavy engineering and turbo machinery, so the office is usually full of technical drawings and people talking about engine specs. It is not a retail shop where people just walk in off the street. We handle the logistics and the planning side of things for projects that happen all over the country. The building itself is just a regular house that has been converted into an office space, which gives it a more relaxed feel than a big glass tower. We have a small group of engineers and office staff who have been with the company for years. Most of our day is spent on the computer or having long meetings about maintenance schedules and part replacements. It gets a bit dusty during the summer months when the wind blows in from the main road, but we keep the fans going. There is nothing very flashy about the way we work. We just show up, deal with the technical problems that come our way, and make sure the paperwork is in order. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it stays pretty quiet around the office, which helps us focus on the complicated calculations we have to do. We are just a steady engineering office doing our part in the Gujarat industrial sector without making a big scene about it.
