Technocell

Technocell is over at 965/K-1 in the Makarpura GIDC area. If you’ve ever driven through Makarpura, you know it’s a total grid of workshops and small factories. Our place isn't the biggest, but we make it work for us. It’s basically one large room with a small partitioned area for the phone and the computer. We spend most of the morning just getting the machines warmed up and checking the schedules. I’ve been working here since I was younger, and not much has changed in the neighborhood, except for there being a lot more traffic on the main road. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. It might be a bit loud in the background when you call because of the tools. We focus on getting the technical parts right. Sometimes things go wrong, a machine breaks or a shipment is late, and we just have to fix it and move on. That’s just part of the business. We don't have a website that we update or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth or they just see the sign when they're driving by. We keep a pot of tea going for the staff in the corner near the window. It’s a decent place to work, even if it’s a bit dusty and cramped sometimes. We just try to keep the quality where it needs to be and stay out of trouble. It’s a simple life.
