You can find Proquip Engineering Co. at Plot No. 966-2-1 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. Our workshop is usually a very busy place, filled with the sounds of metal being worked on and the hum of various tools. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we have so many different pieces of equipment and stacks of materials waiting to be used. We don't have a shiny showroom or a team of sales people in suits. Most of the time, we are in our work clothes, dealing with the actual engineering tasks. The office part is just a small section partitioned off with some old wood panels. It’s where we keep the blueprints and handle the phone calls. The GIDC is always full of activity, with trucks moving through the narrow streets and people shouting over the noise of the machinery. We have a small bench outside where we sometimes sit for a few minutes to get some fresh air. We don’t do any promotional stuff or have a big social media presence. Our work comes from people who know us and trust that we will do what we say. It’s a lot of hard work and long days, but we take a certain pride in just getting the job done without any fuss. It’s a straightforward business and that’s how we like to keep it.
