Micro Works

Micro Works is located at Plot No. 227 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s one of those places where you can hear machines running from the moment you walk down the street. The estate is quite large and can be confusing, so we always tell people to look for our specific plot number or they’ll probably get lost for a while. We have a small workshop area in the back and a tiny office off to the side for the books. It gets pretty loud when all the equipment is running at once, but that's just a normal part of the job for us. Most of us have been working here for many years. We know all the shortcuts through the industrial area to avoid the traffic. The walls are stained and could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. We just focus on getting the work done and the orders out on time. Sometimes the trucks are late and it throws the whole day off, but we just deal with it. It's a simple operation without any bells or whistles. We drink a lot of chai to keep ourselves going through the afternoon slump. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease or dust on it from the daily tasks. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy showroom or anything. We just stay here at Plot 227 and do our thing.
