Our office is up on the fourth floor of the Yashkamal Building. It is at 407-B, which is right in the Sayajigunj area on Muglisara Road. Being on the fourth floor means we get a bit of a view of the street below, which is usually packed with traffic and people. The elevator in the building can be quite slow sometimes, so we often end up taking the stairs if we are in a hurry to get somewhere. It is an engineering office, so there are always technical drawings spread out on the desks and rolls of paper tucked into the corners. The building itself has been around for a long time. You can tell by the style of the windows and the heavy doors. We have a few desks squeezed into the space. It is mostly the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional phone ringing. Sayajigunj is a central spot, so it is easy for people to find us once they get themselves to Muglisara Road. We do not do much decorating in here; it is more about having enough space to get the work done. The walls are a plain color and we have some old metal cabinets for all the files. We go out for lunch at the local food spots nearby. There are plenty of tea stalls right around the corner too. It is a working environment without any corporate stiffness. We just focus on the projects we have on hand. Every day is about solving some small problem.
