Maa Mobile

Maa Mobile is tucked away in the Por Pariwar CHS within the MMRDA Colony. We are right off the Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road or JVLR as everyone calls it near Tunga Village. It is a very busy part of the city and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the constant traffic outside. Our shop is small but we serve a lot of people who live right here in the colony. Most of the time people come in for quick things like a mobile recharge or a cheap pair of earphones because they lost theirs on the train or the bus. We have a lot of cables and chargers hanging from the ceiling on strings to save space on the floor. It gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from their jobs. The building is one of those big housing complexes so we have a lot of regulars who live just a few floors above us. I usually keep a bottle of water and my lunch tiffin under the main counter so I can eat when I get a chance. We do not have fancy air conditioning just a big pedestal fan that blows the papers around if we are not careful. Dealing with mobile phones in such a humid place means a lot of people come in with phones that got wet in the rain. We do our best to dry them out and get them working again.
