Padra is where we have our place, right at number 21. It is quite a bit of a way out if you are coming from the main city, but we have gotten used to the daily trip. The road can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially when it rains hard and the water starts to pool up near the entrance. Our setup here is pretty straightforward. We have the main gates and a security post where everyone checks in. It is a large area, so there is always some walking to do between the different sections. We have a small area where we keep our bikes and cars, and there is a little spot with some trees where people sit during their breaks. It is not exactly a fancy corporate headquarters with glass walls and carpets. It is more of a practical working space where things actually happen. The noise from the machinery is pretty constant throughout the day, so you just learn to talk a bit louder. We have a canteen too, which serves the same few things every day, but it’s fine for a quick meal. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so everyone knows who is who. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation at 21 Padra, nothing more and nothing less than that. We just focus on getting through the shift and making sure everything is where it should be before we head home at the end of the day.
