Little Italy Ristorante:: Alkapuri Vadodara [Gujarat]

This is Little Italy Ristorante. While our name mentions Alkapuri in Vadodara, the address we are using here is actually in Village Gandhigram in the Akola district of Maharashtra. It is a bit of a distance from the city. Out here in Gandhigram, things are much slower. We handle things differently than a big city restaurant might. It is a more rural setting. We focus on the food and making sure the kitchen is running right. The building is simple and fits in with the local village style. We don't have those big neon signs you see in Vadodara. It’s mostly locals who know us or people passing through the district. We cook Italian food but in a way that works for the people around here. The staff mostly comes from the nearby area. We spend our days prepping vegetables and making dough. Sometimes the supplies take a bit longer to reach us because of the location. We just make do with what we have. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We open the doors, serve the people who come in, and close up at night. It is a quiet life compared to the Alkapuri branch. We just want to make sure the food tastes like it should and that everyone leaves full. It’s a basic operation without any extra fluff. We like the pace of life in this part of Maharashtra.
