L&T, Ecc Division

In Vadodara, we are situated in the Mokarpura GIDC area. The exact spot is B 14 in Geeta Bhavan, which is part of the Yogeswar Park Society. Since we are in the GIDC, it is a very industrial setting. There are factories and workshops all around us, so the air usually smells a bit like metal or oil, and there is a constant hum of industry. Geeta Bhavan is a sturdy building that has seen a lot of years. Our ECC Division team works from here, managing the local projects and contracts. The office is pretty basic with some old metal cupboards for the files and a few long tables where we spread out the big maps and plans. It is a busy place, especially on weekday mornings when all the units in the society start their shifts. We have a small area for guests to sit, though we don't get many visitors who aren't here for work. The floors are hard stone and stay cool even when the Gujarat sun is beating down outside. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to break the silence. It is a practical environment for engineering work. We are not looking to impress anyone with the decor; we just need a solid place to coordinate our activities and keep the paperwork organized.
