You can find Krishna Electronics Sales & Services on Gotri Road, very close to the Hanumanji Mandir 3. Because we are near the temple, we get a lot of foot traffic, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I often hear the temple bells while I’m working. The shop does both sales and repairs. I have a lot of second-hand electronics that I’ve fixed up to sell. The front of the shop has some glass cases, but the back is where all the service work happens. It’s a bit of a mess back there with soldering irons and pieces of circuits. I’ve been on Gotri Road for about eight years now. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with more buildings coming up. My shop stays pretty much the same. I have an old ceiling fan that squeaks, but it works fine for keeping the place cool. I handle everything myself, from talking to customers to fixing the complicated wiring. Sometimes people leave their devices for weeks before picking them up, so I have a big shelf just for finished jobs. I try to be honest with people about what can be fixed and what is just junk. It’s a decent living. I like being near the mandir; it makes the atmosphere feel good. Every morning I open the shutters and sweep the front before the first customer arrives. It is a long day but I enjoy the work and the people who stop by to say hello.
