Khamma Ghani

Our place Khamma Ghani is over at Alkapuri 15. We picked the name because it felt like a good way to greet people who come through the door. The space inside is not very large so things can feel a bit tight when we have a full house. We do mostly traditional food that we grew up eating. There is nothing fancy about the way we cook. We just use the ingredients we can get from the local market. The walls have some old pictures and bits of fabric on them to make the place feel less empty. Most of the work is done by just a couple of us. I am usually the one taking the orders and then running back to the kitchen to help out. We get a lot of families from the Alkapuri area especially on Sunday nights. The street outside is usually packed with cars and it can be hard to find a parking spot. We have had some trouble with the plumbing lately and the sink in the back leaks a little bit. We just put a bucket under it for now until we can get someone to fix it. We do not have a website or do any big advertising. People just hear about us from their neighbors. It is a quiet life and we just try to keep the food decent and the tables clean.
