Kabeer Mobile Shop

You can find the shop at the 4th Cross on 13th Main in Tandalja. It's a small place, really, but we manage to fit a lot into it. I’ve been working here for a while, and most of my day is spent hunched over a desk with a magnifying glass. People bring in their phones with all sorts of problems, from cracked screens to charging ports that have been stuffed with lint. I try to be honest about whether something can be fixed or if it is just a waste of money to try. Tandalja is a lively area, and there is always something going on right outside the door. We have shelves lined with chargers, screen protectors, and those cheap headphones that everyone seems to lose once a week. I usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep me company while I work on the tiny screws and delicate ribbons inside the handsets. It is not a shiny showroom with fancy displays. It is a working shop where the floor is a bit scuffed and there are parts organized in little plastic bins everywhere. My hands are usually a bit sticky from the adhesives we use to hold the screens down. Neighbors often pop their heads in just to say hello or ask about the weather while I’m mid-repair. It feels like a proper part of the community here, which is nice. We stay open late most nights because that's when people get off work and need help.
