Jord Engineers India Limited

Being up here on the fifth floor of Marble Arch gives us a decent view of the traffic on Race Course Road. Jord Engineers India Limited is basically just a group of people sitting around desks with a lot of papers and drawings. It gets pretty busy around here especially when a new project starts. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at screens. The office is tucked away in room 506 and it feels like a second home to most of us. We have a small pantry where someone is always making tea or heating up lunch. The building itself is older so the elevators are sometimes a bit slow but we don't mind the wait. We deal with a lot of technical stuff every day. It involves a lot of checking and re-checking numbers to make sure everything lines up. It’s not the kind of work that sounds exciting when you talk about it at dinner but it is important to us. Some days are quieter than others and we just catch up on filing or organizing the storage room. We’ve got a mix of young folks and some older staff who have seen it all. It’s a steady place to work. We don't have a lot of meetings for the sake of meetings; we just talk across the desks when something needs fixing. It’s a practical way to run things in this city and we just keep at it.
