JAS Mobile

We are on the first floor on Palace Road. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs. Most people just see the signs for the shops on the ground floor. But we’ve been here at JAS Mobile for a while. We deal with all kinds of mobile stuff. Used phones, new cases, and cables that actually last. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic on Palace Road. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the customers over the horns. We have a small workbench in the back. That’s where the soldering happens. It’s not a big team, just a couple of us working through the day. We get a lot of students coming in because we are close to the main area. The shop is usually full of boxes. We don't have a lot of display space. Most of our stock is tucked away in the back or under the counter. It’s just how it is. We spend a lot of time testing screens. If you come by, you’ll probably see us with a magnifying glass or a tiny screwdriver. Palace Road is always busy, so we stay open until the street goes quiet. We don’t do any fancy ads. Just a board outside so people know we are upstairs. It’s a steady life here. We like the work. It keeps us busy. The stairs are a bit narrow too. If you're carrying a lot of stuff, it’s a struggle. But we’ve got good lighting inside. We’ve thought about moving to the ground floor but the rent is too much. So we stay here on the first floor. It works for us.
