Indra Enterprises

Indra Enterprises is located right at number 1 Palace Road. Being on such a well-known road is nice, even if the traffic can be a nightmare during the holidays. Our place is an old-fashioned kind of business. We don't have computers everywhere or a bunch of screens. It’s mostly paper files and physical stock. We handle a bit of everything here. If someone comes in looking for a specific item, we usually have to dig through the back to find it. It’s not the most efficient system, but it has worked for us for a long time. The ceilings are high and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that. We see a lot of tourists and locals alike because of our location near the palace. It’s interesting to hear where everyone is from. We aren't a big corporation with a handbook; we just treat people like neighbors. Sometimes we stay open a little later if someone is on their way, and other times we close early if things are dead. It’s flexible. The air inside always smells a bit like old paper and tea because we keep a kettle going in the corner. We like it that way. Palace Road has a lot of character, and we like to think we’re part of that. We just keep the door open and see who comes in. It is a simple way to run a business.
