Indian Air Force

Our office is tucked away at A 62 in the Vrajdham Society in Vadodara. It’s a bit of a different setting because it’s a residential society rather than a big military base. People often do a double take when they see the Indian Air Force name on a house in a quiet neighborhood. We handle a lot of the local administrative tasks and community relations from this spot. It’s a regular house that we’ve turned into a workspace. We have files stacked up and a couple of computers that have seen better days. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep things quiet and not cause any trouble. We don't fly planes here, obviously. Most of the time we are just processing paperwork or helping out with recruitment questions for the local youth. It’s a steady pace. Sometimes we have visitors from the main base who come by to check on things. We drink a lot of chai and spend our mornings going through the mail. Gujarat has a lot of connections to the air force, and being in a society like Vrajdham helps us stay connected to the real people we serve. It’s not a polished corporate office. The paint might be peeling a bit in the corners, but the work we do is important. We just show up every morning, put on the uniform, and get to the tasks on our desks. It is simple but necessary work.
