Hotel Yuvraj

Hotel Yuvraj has its staff quarters located at Surbhi Flat 05 in Rail Nagar, Baroda. This is where many of us stay when we are not on shift at the hotel. Rail Nagar is a quiet enough area but you can hear the trains every now and then since the station isn't too far off. Surbhi Flats is a regular apartment complex with several blocks. Our flat, number five, is pretty basic with just the essentials for living. There are usually uniforms hanging up to dry and shoes by the door. It’s a small space but it works for what we need. Living in the staff quarters means we are always close to our colleagues. We often talk about the day's work over meals in the kitchen. The building itself is a bit older and the paint is peeling in some spots on the exterior. It’s just a standard residential building in Baroda. We don't have any fancy amenities here. It is just a place to sleep and rest before the next shift starts. The neighborhood has a few small grocery stores where we pick up milk or snacks. It feels very grounded and real. We’ve lived in Rail Nagar for a while now and we know the other residents in the Surbhi complex. It’s not a hotel room for guests, it’s just our home. We keep it simple and try to keep things organized despite the small size of the flat.
