Hotel Gateway, Athwalines, Surat

Our hotel is located at 6/585 in the Mahindarpura area of Surat, specifically in the Galemandi Moti Sheri section. If you know Surat, you know that these lanes can be quite narrow and very busy with people and local trade. Hotel Gateway is right in the middle of all that. It’s a very traditional neighborhood, and our building fits right in with the others on the street. We don’t have a massive glass entrance; it’s more of a local place where people can find a room when they are in town for work or visiting family. Managing a hotel in Moti Sheri means you are always part of the local buzz. You can hear the sounds of the market and the street life from the windows. Our staff is mostly busy with the everyday things like cleaning, laundry, and talking to the guests who come in from the heat. It’s a practical business, and we don't try to make it sound like something it isn't. We just provide a place to stay in a very busy part of Surat. The address in Mahindarpura is easy to find if you follow the main landmarks, but the small streets can be a bit of a maze for newcomers. We’ve been here long enough that we know everyone on the block. It’s just a regular hotel run by regular people who know the city well and keep things running day after day.
