Hotel Express

Hotel Express is located at Flat 4 in Rail Nagar, which is part of the Alka Nagar area in Alkapuri, Vadodara. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays fairly quiet, which we appreciate. We aren’t a big hotel building yourself might expect from the name; this is more of our home base for the operations. Vadodara is a nice city, and Alkapuri is a decent part of it to be in. Our office is just a regular flat that we’ve converted into a workspace. It’s got a kitchen, a living area where we’ve put the main desks, and a lot of files stored in the back rooms. We spend a lot of time on the phone or managing bookings and guest details. It’s a small team, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s just a delivery or a neighbor, not a customer. We like the local feel of Rail Nagar. There are trees around and it doesn't feel like a gray industrial zone. We’ve been here for a while and have a good routine going. The morning starts with tea, then we check the messages and start the day’s work. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We just want to make sure the hotel side of things runs smoothly from here. It’s a bit cramped with all the computers, but we make it work. We are just a few people trying to keep everything organized and on track.
