Green Valley High School

Down in Sewasi, our school sits in a spot that feels a bit more open than the middle of Vadodara city. Green Valley High School is basically just a collection of buildings where we try to get through the curriculum every year. The address is 391101 if you are looking for the pin code. We have a good amount of space for the kids to move around, which is nice because they have a lot of energy. You won't find any glossy brochures or fancy slogans on our walls. Instead, you'll see a lot of student drawings and maybe a few notices about upcoming exams pinned to the boards. The walk up to the main entrance is lined with some plants that we try to keep alive during the summer months. It’s a busy place from Monday to Friday. The staff room is usually a mess of papers and tea cups, and the classrooms stay pretty lively until the final bell rings in the afternoon. We have some older trees on the property that provide a bit of shade for the buses when they park. Most of the families live nearby in the Sewasi area, so we see the same faces every morning at the gate. It’s just a straightforward school where the focus is on the daily lessons and making sure the kids are where they need to be. It’s honest work and we just keep at it without any fuss.
