We've been at the Darpanapp building in Alkapuri for a good while now. It’s right near the petrol pump on R.C. Dutt Road, so it's a spot most people know when they’re driving through this part of the city. We keep the shop open for most of the day because folks around here always need something, whether it’s their monthly blood pressure tablets or just some biscuits for tea. It’s a mix of a chemist and a provision store, which basically means our shelves are a bit crowded with everything from cough syrup to soap. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when the traffic on the main road is heavy, but we manage. My staff and I try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. We see a lot of the same faces every week, people living in the Alkapuri area who just walk over. The shop isn't fancy, just some glass counters and wooden racks filled with boxes. We deal with various suppliers to make sure we don't run out of the common medicines people ask for. It’s just how we run things here, day in and day out. If you're coming from the bridge side, you'll see us easily enough. We don't really do big advertising or anything, mostly just people knowing where we are and coming in for their daily bits and pieces. It’s a simple setup, but it works for the neighborhood.
