S. A. Pharmachem Pvt. Ltd. is located at No. 220 in Udyog Bhavan on Son Pharma Road in Goregaon East. Being in Mumbai, the area is always incredibly busy and the commute can be quite a struggle some mornings. Our office is inside a typical industrial building that has seen a lot of years. It’s a practical space where we deal with all the paperwork and logistics involved in the pharma chemicals we handle. There are several desks pushed together and shelves full of thick binders and product samples in glass bottles. It’s not the most modern office you’ve ever seen, but it works for us. The walls have some scuff marks and the floor is just plain tiles that we sweep every morning. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on shipping dates. The sound of the ceiling fans is a constant backdrop to our conversations. Outside, Son Pharma Road is always lined with trucks and delivery vans, so there is always some commotion going on. We usually order in some tea or snacks around four o’clock to help us get through the rest of the day. It’s a small, dedicated team here, and we just focus on getting through the daily tasks without making a big deal out of anything. It is just our way of doing things in the heart of Goregaon.
