Global Tech

Our small spot, Global Tech, is located over in Fateganj at G-20. It isn't a massive tech hub like you see in the movies. Instead, it is mostly a room filled with computer parts, tangled wires, and a few soldering irons that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time hunched over desks trying to figure out why a motherboard isn't working or why a screen is flickering. It's tedious work but someone has to do it. The street outside can get quite noisy with all the shops nearby, but we usually have some music playing to drown it out. Most of the people who come in are locals who have had their laptops for ten years and just want them to run a bit faster. We don't have a receptionist or anything. You just walk in and talk to whoever is not currently holding a screwdriver. Sometimes we have to order parts from far away and that takes time, which can be frustrating for everyone. But we try to be honest about how long things will take. We drink a lot of coffee to stay focused during the long afternoons. The air conditioner in here is old and makes a rattling sound, but it keeps the machines cool enough. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to fix the gadgets people rely on every day. It's a quiet existence for the most part.
