Ginger Hotel, Tata Enterprise

Working in Bhagyodaya Tower - 2 means we are right in the heart of the action near Race Course Circle. It is one of those parts of Vadodara that never seems to sleep. Even from the fifth floor, you can hear the hum of the city. We have been at suite 504 for a while now. It is a Tata Enterprise, so there is a lot of history there, but our day-to-day is much more basic. We are mostly focused on the back-end stuff that keeps a hotel running. People do not often see this side of the business. They see the lobby and the rooms, but we are the ones dealing with the spreadsheets and the logistics. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it has to be done. We have a small kitchen area where we make our own tea because the machine downstairs is always broken. It is those little things that define the day. We do not have any big motivational posters or corporate slogans on the walls. We just have a whiteboard with a list of things to do and some phone numbers we need to call. It is a practical space for people who just want to get their work finished. We appreciate the park nearby, even if we only get to walk through it on the way to the car. It is a busy life but we have found our rhythm here.
