Gift King

Gift King is located right by the tower in Raopura. It’s a busy part of town, very close to the Vadodara Ho and not far from Makarpura. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know how the traffic is. It’s loud, and there’s always something going on outside the door. We’ve been in this spot for quite a long time. The building is older, so the walls have some cracks and the paint is peeling a little bit near the ceiling. I don't mind it much, gives the place character I guess. People come in from all over since it’s such a central location. Sometimes it’s so crowded in the shop you can barely move between the aisles. I usually spend my mornings checking the inventory and dusting off the boxes. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We don’t really have a big fancy sign, just the name above the door. Most people know us just by being in the neighborhood for so long. My father started this, and I just took over. We don't do anything special, just open up in the morning and stay until the market shuts down at night. It’s a lot of work keeping things organized with so many small items, but it's what we do. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just keep the doors open for light.
