You can find Gayatri Novelty Store at number 10 in Savli. It’s a small place, really. Savli is a nice area, and being at this address for so long has made us part of the daily routine for a lot of folks who live nearby. We don't have a massive sign or anything that flashes, just a simple board with our name on it. Inside, it’s a bit of a squeeze because we try to fit a lot of different novelty items on the shelves. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we get a new shipment, but we know where everything is eventually. It’s mostly just me and my brother running things here. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. People in Savli are generally very friendly, so we spend a lot of time just chatting with customers about their families or the weather. It’s not a fast-paced environment at all. We like it that way. If you’re looking for something specific, you might have to dig through a pile or two, but that’s part of the charm of a store like ours. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track our items, just our memory and a thick notebook. It works well enough for us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but number 10 stays pretty much the same. It’s a honest living and we’re happy to be here every day.
