We've been at Alankar Tower for a long time now. Most people know Shop No. 4 because it’s right near the Sayajigunj Police Station. It's a busy spot in Vadodara. We open up early to get the ovens going. Sometimes the smell of baking bread drifts out onto the street before the sun is even fully up. It’s just how we do things here. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that. It’s a small space, but we keep it clean and keep the shelves stocked with what people like. You’ll see the same faces coming in every afternoon for a snack or picking up something for tea. We recognize most of them by name. It’s not a big corporate chain. We just make the pastries and sell them. If something runs out, it runs out until the next batch is ready. That’s just part of running a local shop in Sayaji Ganj. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially with the police station right there, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the display cases opening and closing. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing stuff. We just focus on the daily work. My father used to say that as long as the food is fresh, people will find us. So that's what we do. We stay busy, we keep the counters wiped down, and we make sure the wagon is ready every single day. It’s a simple life, but it works for us and our neighbors.
