Our place is located out at Block Number 345 in Village Gametha. It’s a bit of a drive since it is in the Padra taluka, away from the main city noise. We work with bio starch and polymers here. It’s mostly big bags and processing equipment that takes up most of the space. Being out in the village means it is a bit quieter than the city, though the dust from the fields gets in through the windows sometimes. We have a small team from the local area who help run the machines and keep things moving. The weather gets really hot in the afternoons, but the sheds keep us mostly in the shade. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with shiny glass walls. It’s just a factory where we process starch. Sometimes the machines act up or the power fluctuates, which is common enough around here. We just fix what breaks and keep the production line going. The roads out to Gametha are okay, but they get a bit rough after the monsoon. We spend our days checking the quality of the starch and making sure the bags are stacked right for the trucks. It is simple work but it takes time to get it right. Most of us have been here long enough that we don't need to say much to get the job done. It's a long day out here, but we like the pace of the village better.
