If you go outside Panigate and look across from the Harish Petrol Pump, you will find us at number 4, Nirali. Excellent Sankheda Furniture has been a part of this neighborhood for a while. We specialize in that traditional Sankheda style that everyone around here recognizes. Our workshop is always filled with the smell of wood and the bright colors of the lacquer work we do. It is not a quiet place; there is always the sound of someone sanding down a chair leg or painting those little floral patterns by hand. We started because we liked the craft, and we just kept going with it year after year. The shop is a bit crowded because we try to display as much as we can, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us and the guys who have been working with wood since they were young. Sometimes a customer comes in with a specific idea, and we sit down on a bench and talk it through until we both know what is possible. Dealing with wood can be tricky, especially with the weather changes, but we have learned how to handle it over time. We aren't a big factory; we are just a local business making furniture that we hope lasts a long time in people's houses. It is slow work, but it is what we know.
