We set up shop at D 16 in Vaikunth Dham Society because it felt like a good, honest spot in Baroda. It’s a mobile store, so we deal with phones and tablets all day long. It gets a bit loud sometimes when the shop is full of people talking, but we like the energy of a busy day. Most of the people coming in are just looking for a quick fix for their cracked screen or a new battery because theirs died at the worst time. We don't have those fancy glass displays you see in the big malls. Everything is a bit more lived-in here. Our staff knows their way around a circuit board, but we aren't trying to act like we know everything. We just try to help out where we can. Sometimes we have the part you need right then, and other times we have to wait a few days for the mail to come in. That’s just how it goes with repairs. The society here is pretty friendly, so we get a lot of regulars who just stop by to say hello or ask a question. It's not a huge operation. We've got a couple of glass counters and some stools for people waiting. We've seen a lot of phones come and go over the years. Technology changes fast, but people still need a place where they can get a straight answer. We keep things pretty simple. If we can't do it, we'll tell you. If we can, we get to work. That's our life here.
