We set up shop here in Manjunatha Nagar at 202/3 on the 1st A Cross. Fatehgunj is a busy area but this little corner is usually a bit quieter. We handle all sorts of electrical bits and pieces. Some days it’s just wires and switches, other times someone brings in a motor that’s stopped working. The workbench is always covered in solder and wire strippers. It’s hard to keep it tidy when there’s always another job waiting. I’ve been working with electronics for a long time now. My hands are usually a bit scarred from old burns or sharp edges. People drop by asking for parts they can't find elsewhere. Sometimes we have to dig through the back bins to find a specific fuse or a connector. The lighting in the shop isn't the best but we have a good lamp for the fine work. It’s mostly just us here, no big team or anything. If the phone rings while I’m soldering, I usually just let it ring until I’m at a stopping point. Clients know we’re here and they just walk in. We don’t have a fancy display window. It’s just shelves full of components and boxes. Sometimes a cat wanders in from the street and sits on the warm equipment. We don't mind. It’s a practical place for people who need their gear fixed or need a specific part for a project at home. We just keep our heads down and get through.
