Dwarkesh Finance, Padra

Out here in Padra, specifically at number 49 in Ghanshyamnagar Society, things move at a bit of a slower pace than in the main city. Our office for Dwarkesh Finance is tucked away in a residential area, so it feels very much like a home. We’ve got our chairs and a few cupboards full of files that seem to never end. Dealing with finance stuff means a lot of paperwork and signatures, and that’s what fills most of our hours. People from the society drop in, sometimes just to say hello or ask a quick question about a loan or an investment. We don't have any of those shiny glass walls you see in big bank offices. It’s just a practical space where we sit and get the work done. The sunlight comes in through the front window in the afternoon, making it a bit warm, so we keep the fan running at full speed. Sometimes we have to head out to meet people in other parts of Vadodara district, but we always come back here to finish the day's entries. It's mostly quiet, which is good when you’re looking at numbers all day long. We keep our records in order and try to stay on top of the latest rules. It’s just a local operation, nothing too big, and we like it that way. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for a long time. They know where to find us in Padra.
