Durga Engineering

Durga Engineering is tucked away in GIDC at 502/B-1. A good way to find us is to look for the Hanuman Temple nearby. It’s a landmark everyone knows around here. We are also close to the Asoj Nutan Coth Market, so the area gets quite crowded with people and vehicles during the day. Our workshop isn't anything fancy. It’s a typical engineering shed with high ceilings and plenty of grease on the floor. We do a lot of different jobs, mostly whatever comes through the door that needs fixing or fabricating. There’s always a radio playing somewhere in the background, though you can barely hear it over the sound of the drills. The lighting isn't the best, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't really have a set way of doing things other than making sure the parts fit right. Sometimes the local kids kick a ball near the temple and it ends up in our yard. It’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We don't spend money on fancy signs or uniforms. Most of us just wear old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy. People know us as the shop near the temple, and that seems to work well enough for getting the word around. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the metal gets shaped the way it needs to be.
