Digital Communication

You can find us over at Atmajyoti Ashram Road 3. The shop is called Digital Communication, which sounds a bit more modern than we actually are. It’s a small place on a street that gets a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We sell SIM cards, do mobile recharges, and help people set up their new gadgets when they are stuck. It’s a lot of explaining how things work to people who aren't used to smartphones yet. We also have a small rack of accessories like earphones and chargers. The shop is narrow, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels very crowded. We usually have the radio on or a small TV in the corner to pass the time. It’s a quiet enough neighborhood most of the time. We know the regulars who come in every month to pay their bills or get more data. Sometimes we help people fix their settings when they accidentally change something and can't find their messages. It’s just a neighborhood shop. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns being behind the counter. Ashram Road is a nice place to work. There’s a big tree right outside that provides some shade in the afternoons. We just try to keep things running smoothly for everyone who stops by with a phone problem.
