You can find Dig Mobile Shop over at B/4 in Subhanpura. It’s a small corner for us to do our work. I spend my days looking through a magnifying glass at tiny phone parts. The workbench is always covered in screws and little plastic pieces that I try not to lose. Subhanpura is a crowded place, and our shop reflects that. We don’t have much room for a lot of people to stand inside at once. I usually have the radio on low so I can concentrate on what I’m fixing. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they could use a picture or two, but I mostly just have calendars up there. Sometimes the power goes out and I have to wait for the backup to kick in so I can see what I’m doing. It’s just a simple mobile shop, nothing like the big stores you see in the malls. People come here because they know I’ll just get on with the job. I’ve been in this building for a few years now and I’ve got used to the squeaky door. The floor is tiled and I try to sweep it every evening before I head home. It’s a good neighborhood with lots of familiar faces walking past the B/4 block. I usually open up a bit later than the grocery stores because people don't really think about their phones until later in the morning. It’s a steady kind of life that I enjoy.
