Dhruvakumari Sonani

My name is Dhruvakumari Sonani and I am based in Vadodara, Gujarat. My place is D-403 in the Fatehsagar Apartment complex. We are right opposite the Convent School in Fatehgunj. It’s a lively spot because of the school; you can hear the children during their breaks and the buses lining up in the afternoon. Living and working in an apartment like Fatehsagar means I am right in the middle of a community. I have been in this part of Vadodara for a while now. My setup is simple and is contained within my home. I don’t have a big storefront on the main road. Instead, I handle everything from my desk here in D-403. It works for me because I can stay focused without the distractions of a busy street-level shop. Fatehgunj is a nice area with lots of trees and local shops nearby. When I need a break, I just walk down and grab a snack or talk to the neighbors. Most of my clients are people who know me personally or through word of mouth. I don’t see the need for big advertisements or a polished corporate image. I just do my work as best as I can and keep things moving. It’s a quiet, practical way to run things, and I appreciate the balance it gives me. Being opposite the school keeps me aware of the time, and I like the energy of the neighborhood. It feels like a real home.
