Devi Ansuya Vidhyalaya

You’ll find Devi Ansuya Vidhyalaya on Ruvand Road in the Kayavahron area of Vadodara. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city center, but it’s a quiet enough spot for a school. We started this place because there wasn't much else around for the kids in this specific patch of land. The building is painted a light color that shows the dust pretty quickly, so we’re always trying to keep it looking tidy. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of wooden benches and blackboards. We don’t have a lot of high-tech gadgets, just the usual stuff you need to teach a class. The playground out front is mostly dirt, but the kids don’t seem to mind when they’re playing football or just running around during the recess. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the local shops too. It’s a small world in this part of town. We have a lot of parents who stop by just to chat or ask how their kids are doing, which makes the place feel more like a big family than a business. The sun hits the front of the school in the afternoons, making the classrooms quite bright. We usually keep the windows open to catch the air. It’s a very practical place, focused on getting through the syllabus and making sure everyone shows up on time. We just do our work and go home.
