City Systems

City Systems is tucked into S/8 at Shree Complex on Ajwa Road. Being near M C High School in Vadodara means we hear the school bells and the kids yelling every afternoon. It is a busy part of town. Our shop is mostly full of computer parts and monitors. We spend a lot of time looking at screens or opening up towers to see what is going wrong inside. It is quiet work mostly, punctuated by the sound of cooling fans. We have been here in Salatawada for a good bit now. Most folks from the nearby schools or offices drop by when their tech starts acting up. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It is just a counter and some workstations in the back. Sometimes the place gets cluttered with cables and spare keyboards, but we know where everything is. We started out small and stayed that way because it works for us. Working in Vadodara is nice. You get to know the neighbors. If the internet goes down or a printer jams, people come looking for us. We just take it one day at a time. The morning starts with clearing the desk and checking the repair list. We do not use big words to describe what we do. It is just fixing things and making sure the systems keep running. It is practical work, and it keeps us occupied from morning until we close the shutters at night.
